FEBRUARY EGM COVER REVEAL

Forget what you knew about the long-running SSX series.  EGM’s February issue features a world-exclusive reveal of the latest SSX. Treacherous conditions across some of the world’s most intimidating mountain ranges become the backdrop in the latest entry in the snowboarding series.  “We’re looking at this as a reinvention of the franchise,” proclaims SSX: Deadly Descents creative director Todd Batty.
The big exclusives continue with a 6-page blowout of True Crime: Hong Kong, the gritty open-world adventure that centers on detective Wei Shen's efforts to infiltrate and topple the Sun-On-Yii Triad.  "What we loved about the True Crime franchise was that you played as a cop.  We wanted to take that element, and from there, completely reboot and do something fresh and exciting," explains executive producer Steven Van Der Mescht.
We also preview Scribblenauts developer 5th Cells' amibitious shooter Hybrid - an exciting step for a respected developer flexing their creative muscle in new ways.  And speaking of shooters, the EGM Interview steps inside the head of Gearbox's Randy Pitchford, who talks about what it's like finally getting Duke Nukem officially ready for his seedy reentry into the gaming world.
To kick off the New Year, we also asked some of the biggest names in gaming to detail their resolutions for a stronger industry and unveil the EGM Game of the Year, as well as a bevy of awards that shine a light on the best (and worst) of the year in gaming.  You get all this plus the news, features, reviews, and exclusives you've come to expect from EGM for more than 20 years!
Look for EGM 244 on newsstands everywhere January 11, while subscribers should start seeing their copies this week!
